-- Prostaid Calgary's latest monthly, no-obligation general meeting will offer valuable support to those affected by prostate cancer, providing up-to-date medical insights on key issues through presentations by respected medical professionals. Following the guest lecture, attendees will have the opportunity to share their experiences and ask questions.

General meetings take place on the third Wednesday of each month and require no advance registration - everyone is warmly welcomed. Each meeting highlights current health issues and features relevant topics of discussion. For those unable to attend in person, archived videos of past meetings are available on Prostaid Calgary’s website.
The organization also hosts two informal monthly meetings, both in-person and online: one for Prostaid Calgary members with hormone-refractory prostate cancer and others interested in managing advanced prostate cancer, and another for patients' spouses and caregivers. The first meeting emphasizes networking, sharing experiences in managing advanced disease, discussing the latest developments in detection, testing, and treatment, and exploring access to clinical trials. The second meeting provides a space for spouses and caregivers to share personal support.
Prostaid Calgary’s previous lectures have covered topics such as transforming the grief of a prostate cancer diagnosis into a source of strength and thriving as a "warrior." Other discussions have included embracing advances in cancer screening technology, exploring technological solutions for hearing loss, and maintaining sexual health while managing the condition.
Interested individuals can become members of Prostaid Calgary at no cost. They will receive a copy of the organization’s monthly journal, The Digital Examiner, via email to keep them informed of the latest prostate cancer news and support.
