Cain and Gran’s upcoming book to lead the path towards work excellence

Work strategists Brian Cain and Steve Gran will author a book that will propel readers towards work improvement and excellence. Cain and Gran will help readers get rid of wasted time, energy, and resources while they drive to meet their goals and vision.

(FAIRHOPE, AL, January 18, 2021) – Business experts Brian Cain and Steve Gran will lead the way towards achieving excellence in his upcoming book.


Cain is a co-founder and managing partner of Work Excellence, LLC, an Alabama-based company. Together with his business partner and Work Excellence co-founder, Steve Gran, they assist clients build their business method to meet overall business goals and strategies and create more value from their work. Work Excellence, LLC specializes in organizational growth, overall transformations, turnarounds, and start-ups through educational workshops, coaching and consulting.


Brian and Steve understand the struggles of organizations to rise over the ever-changing work environment. Executives need a method to continue thriving despite changes and organizational transitions.


Without a method, business leaders might not get the full value of the time, energy, and resources they and their teams have invested. Missing just one goal might lead to failure of the consecutive goals.


The Work Excellence book will take the readers into the next phase or step to address these concerns. The book will share a method applicable at any time and effectively solve value problems faster and better.


The authors will pour their learning gained from spending more than 30 years in business. Cain has held multiple significant positions in the finance and accounting arena as well as executive operational roles. His Continuous Improvement and Operating Excellence career started when his partner, Gran, consulted for Standard Furniture. Shortly after, Cain and Gran began their journey together co-founding Work Excellence.


Currently, with Work Excellence, Cain fulfills his goal to eliminate wasted time in people’s lives, leading them towards understanding and achieving their expected business outcomes.


Cain is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the states of Alabama and Georgia. He finished his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Mathematics from Troy University and continues his career as an educational discussion leader. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves on the board of Shoot for Heart, a charitable organization.


He has cultivated a growing list of companies toward Work Excellence, including SJE, Lakeshirts, Klaussner Home Furnishings, Coldspring, IDeACOM, Bon Secour Fisheries, Deli Express, MARCK Industries, and Capella Education Company.


Furthermore, the book will contain the insights of Gran who spent 27 years in business. As an educator, coach, and consultant, Gran had notable successes in helping organizations face challenges head-on, turn complexity to simplicity, and establish order from chaos. His impact on organizations spreads throughout its individual members. Gran’s career is turning around teams as employees were also freed from cumbersome approaches and processes.


Gran has started his career in retail services and made a shift towards distribution and logistics. He has also coached C-level executives, leadership teams, and boards in their corporate continuous improvement journeys.


Gran holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University with a major in Transportation and Logistics. He worked with his alma mater as a business advisor, project coach, and instructor for The Masters in Operating Excellence (MBOE) and Executive Six Sigma Black Belt Programs. Gran has also taught at St. Louis University, Texas Christian University, and Georgia Tech University.
