The Foundation Works, a Los Angeles based foundation repair and soft-story retrofitting company to give 100% of April foundation inspection fees to St. Vincent Meals On Wheels to support seniors.

-- The Foundation Works, a top Los Angeles home foundation repair, and earthquake retrofitting company has pledged 100% of its April inspection fees to St. Vincent Meals On Wheels in an effort to help the seniors who rely on the food delivery service program.

According to Tom Pelletier, Owner and Founder of The Foundation Works, which has been deemed an essential business and is open during the COVID-19 pandemic, “We feel grateful to be deemed an essential business and thus able to continue our work during these uncertain times and recognize that many businesses don’t share that great fortune right now. We take our role seriously and have taken all reasonable precautions for our clients and team to continue operations. We recognize that it is our job to step to the plate and do all that we can to not only keep commerce moving where possible but to also find creative ways to re-tool our efforts in ways to help our fellow Angelinos most vulnerable.”

Continuing, Pelletier explained that property owners can rest assured that the repairs and services provided by The Foundation Works, due to pre-existing safety protocols, require what amounts to “social distancing” in nearly all circumstances. He went on to say, “Even before this pandemic struck, our insurance regulations have long demanded that the public steer clear of all of our work sites. So, we’ve always kept our distance from residents at all times as standard practice. And our administrative team has of course now begun working remotely, to abide by the safer at home guidelines.”

Of the decision to donate all inspection fees in April to St. Vincent Meals On Wheels, Pelletier said, “For nearly 20 years, The Foundation Works has been serving the greater Los Angeles area by improving home foundations, thereby keeping people safer in those homes,” he added. “We feel that it’s now our responsibility, as a designated essential business working through this pandemic, to do our part to help the Los Angeles community. Therefore, we chose to donate 100% of our inspection fees during the full month of April to the Los Angeles based St. Vincent Meals-on-Wheels Program (www.stvincentmow.org) because we believe deeply in the organization’s services, and are humbled by their selfless efforts to keep our most vulnerable safe in their homes, by continuing to deliver much-needed hot meals and daily wellness/love checks, a hallmark of this decades enduring program!”

Pelletier has delivered this message to the community, by sharing his personal commitment to helping support the efforts of Meals on Wheels, through a personal video on The Foundation Works’ website.
