Bryant Lazaro & Miguel Cardoso Present at the Largest Coaching Event in Europe

The Football Coaches Association of Norway has announced the successful completion of a football coaching seminar in Oslo. Bryant Lazaro and Miguel Cardoso presented a theoretical football presentation in Oslo’s Ullevaal Stadion on the topic of "Defensive Organization in Relation to Our Game Model".

The new announcement comes as Bryant Lazaro and Miguel Cardoso continue to focus on the professional development of the game. They were two feature speakers at the event as part of the “Coaches Corner” series, alongside Lisa Fallon, Håkan Ericson, and André Bergdølmo.


As part of the announcement, Bryant and Miguel stated that there was great interest in attending the event. The Cup Final Seminar brought together the sport’s leading figures throughout Europe, with around 700 participants in total. While there was complications due to Covid-19 restrictions, the seminar took a new format.


The event was open to football coaches, researchers, medical personnel, and educators, and ran from Friday the 3rd of December through to Saturday the 4th. It opened with the 2021 Cup Final Seminar, headed by Teddy Moen, the Director of the Football Coaches Association of Norway.


Other talking points included the growth plans for the sport in Norway, while the first day also saw Sven-Göran Eriksson discussing international football.


Bryant and Miguel were a key part of the second day of activities, hosting their “Coaches Corner” session about defensive tactics in football. Specifically, their presentation discussed the “Defensive Organization in Relation to Our Game Model”, before completing the day with a second symposium where they showcased practical examples.


Bryant Lazaro is an American professional football manager who has coached in Spain and Norway, currently Director of Player Development at Deportivo Cuenca in the LigaPro Ecuador. He holds a Spanish and Argentine PRO license, as well as an MBA in Sport Management and a Master in Talent Identification from Real Madrid Graduate School. He is about to defend his thesis to obtain his PhD in Sports Sciences at the UCAM University in Murcia, Spain. Miguel Cardoso is an elite manager from Portugal, whose work has spanned across some of the best European football leagues. He has been a head coach in both LaLiga (Spain) and Ligue 1 (France), along with having worked in Ukraine, Greece and Portugal.


A spokesperson for the seminar said: “We welcome all football coaches – both in professional and grassroots football. At the same time, we also want to invite other coaches, researchers, medical personnel, educators, sports students, managers, referees, and elected officials who are in and around football’s development environments to engage in this unique educational initiative.”
