Bonafide Baby has adapted a new strategy that aims to ease those concerns from new Moms. They are now using the reviews and question to educate their customers.


“I remember being a new mom” says owner Jan Jordan. “There was so much happening so fast and a lot of emphasis was placed on natural breastfeeding. But as a first-time mother, I knew very little about any of it.”


“I can certainly relate so when I started to see so many questions on our Amazon product listings, I realized this was an opportunity for us to educate our customers and ease their concerns.”


The team at Bonafide Baby monitors their reviews and questions daily and replies to questions such as how to use their breastmilk storage bags, are the bags reusable, why it is important to purchase BPA & BPS Free bags, how to store breast milk and much more.


“Our own customers will often answer those questions and we love to see that. Advice and tips from moms who are actually using our bags can be very helpful. Sometimes we even learn new things from our customers.”


They also use their order confirmation emails to send a product guide with color photos and detailed instructions for use, but Jordan says that often gets overlooked.


“We also follow up with every customer that purchases our product to make sure they are happy and answer any questions they might have. We’ve been accused of being too over the top with our customer service but I remember how stressful breastfeeding was for me when I was a new mom. I just try to make sure that isn’t the case for anyone else. I wish I had this type of support back then.”


“I hope that more companies will start adapting these new techniques to reach out to their customer base and help educate them, especially when they are filling such an important need.”
