FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ORLANDO, FL (February 5, 2021) – Bagel and lox lovers will not have to wait until February 9th to indulge their tastebuds as Central Florida’s premier bagel restaurant, Bagel King, is giving customers a head start from Saturday, February 6th to Tuesday February 9th.
National Bagel and Lox day is traditionally celebrated on February 9th. The origin of the holiday is unknown, but it is believed that bagel and lox was first popularized by Jewish immigrants in New York City. Bagels are traditionally from Poland and Lox is a Yiddish word for smoked Salmon. Bagel and lox is often served with cream cheese or Shmear, which is a German word for spread. Clearly, this delicious duo is a melting pot of cultures, which no one person can take credit for.
Touted as Home of the Kettle Baked Bagel. Bagel King the best bagels in Orlando. In fact, they are listed second in the top 10 Bagel restaurants in Florida. Bagel King’s bagel doughs are expertly hand rolled, boiled in large vat and then baked to crisp perfection in an old-fashioned brick oven. To celebrate National Bagel and Lox day, Bagel King has created a special menu for bagel and lox lovers to enjoy at their Lake Mary and Casselberry locations. The menu includes Smoked Salmon Bagel Schmear, Smoked Salmon Bagel Melt, Smoked Salmon Cupcake Quiche and Fresh Fish Fantasies for sashimi lovers. To top it all off, complimentary mimosas and unlimited drinks are included in every order.
“We don’t think that one day is enough to celebrate the delicious goodness of bagel and lox,” said Bagel King owner, Tinamarie Schmit. “We decided to start the celebrations early, so customers can really indulge over the course of four days.”
Although Bagel King has the best bagels in Florida, they have also established a reputation for their lox. John J. had this to say about the restaurant’s bagel and lox: “This is the only place I have found in the I-4 corridor that has decent, really good lox and nova. The bagels put “the other guys” bagels to shame. I just wish we didn’t live 75 miles away. We might be moving.” Another customer, Robert W. said: “The best lox on a bagel with cream cheese in Central Florida is served at Bagel King. Lots of yummy egg dishes are also served, delicious home fries to die for, and soups and sandwiches abound.”
The Lake Mary and Casselberry locations are open from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. For further information about Bagel King or to browse the National Bagel and Lox Day menu, visit: https://www.bagelking.net.
