Fans of historical western romances can now listen to ‘A Loving Heart for the Loyal Deputy’ as it has been launched as an audiobook on Audible. The book is the sixth in the Bear Creek Brides series by Amelia Rose, which focuses on Christian romance and mail order brides.
The newly launched audiobook edition is ideal for people who are struggling to focus on reading, enjoy listening to stories to relax in the evening, or prefer to listen whilst doing other tasks. The setting is Montana 1893 and there is uncertainty. Tanner Williams is the deputy and while he is bothered about the looming trouble, he is also concerned that life is passing him by.
No matter how much time he invests in his work, he still feels there is something missing in his life. Determined to make a change, he places an advertisement for a mail order bride. He has no shortage of responses, but only one captures his heart.
Bethany is adamant she will live life on her own terms, not her father’s. Tanner’s advertisement is Bethany’s reason to run away and gives her hope for the future. Although she has never traveled, she is not deterred and by the time she learns about the havoc in Bear Creek it is too late to turn back.
Listeners of the audiobook will enjoy the twists and turns, the suspense, and ‘will they, won’t they’ questions that arise. The story is designed to transport listeners or readers to another time and place, which makes it the ideal escapist novel for the Autumn and Winter nights. People interested in the title do not have to have read or listened to the other books as each is a standalone title.
A reviewer wrote: “Bethany is such a refreshing character, she may have been brought up in society, but she holds none of their views. For her, money is a hurdle and love a requirement. Seeing her confidence grow and caring personality flourish once she reaches Bear Creek is a treat, and it is no wonder she steals Tanner’s heart.”
