-- In light of COVID-19, and out of concern for their students and staff, Asher College has transitioned their classrooms to an online setting effective immediately. Fortunately, as of this writing, no one in the Asher College community has contracted the virus. According to Asher College CEO, David Vice, “Out of an abundance of caution, we decided this is what is ultimately best for students, staff, and the local communities we serve. Luckily Asher’s learning model is easily adaptable, so our students won’t have to miss a beat.”

While students will not be required to attend classes at the campus, the goal is to support them in continuing to move forward in their training and closer to their career goals. Asher College knows the face to face interaction with staff has been vital to the success of their students. To that point, they are working diligently to make sure they are still able to keep that level of assistance while customizing the Individual Education Plans and providing group opportunities to communicate and learn with classmates. These opportunities will be laid out and delivered in the days to come.

For our Veteran students, the government passed legislation Thursday. March 19th to ensure student veterans will continue to receive GI Bill benefits without interruption while studying online.

In this unprecedented situation, communication will be vital. Students will be communicated with on a program level individually and on a corporate level via emails and our web link at https://www.asher.edu/asher-coronavirus-covid-19-update/. Our staff is also available for questions by calling the local campus or emailing the campus director or designated instructors.

Campuses will have modified working hours on location for students to pick-up and drop-off correspondence, coursework, and books if necessary. Also, students, staff, and visitors will be instructed not to come to the college if they are experiencing a fever of 100.4℉ or greater, cough, shortness of breath, or have interacted with anyone who has a fever or is in quarantine. Admissions and Financial Aid Representatives will also be available for online video and phone appointments for students who wish to learn how to pursue a career in Information Technology, Medical Administration or Business Certification and Degree programs.

Linda Freeman, Asher College Sacramento Campus Director, “We want to assure our students we have complete capability to keep your education moving forward during this time. Our goal will continue to be serving our students and assisting them to complete their education and gain excellent employment. Strong, consistent communication with the Asher staff will be critical to your success. Together we are stronger.”
