Artisans Pop-Up Market at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center

Root City Market is having their quarterly pop-up market featuring 30 plus Atlanta craftsmen, artists, and vendors. This Saturday, June 13th, local vendors will be offering handcrafted goods, live music and food at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center.

Each Root City Market is unique because it is never in one location too long. This quarterly pop-up event floats around Atlanta highlighting local vendors and craftsmen. Root City Market (RCM) was created so Atlanta will discover and support its local artists and merchants.

This Saturday, June 13th, Root City Market will be on the Westside of Atlanta featuring more than 30 local craftsmen, artists, and vendors. Among these vendors are Atomic Ice Cream Sandwich, Little Barn Apothecary, and NicoBella Organics to name a few (full list of vendors on the website).

RCM visitors will enjoy free food samples, libations and live music by The Cottage. Mass Collective is coordinating fun activities for the whole family, so children are also welcome.

Several vendors will be giving away freebies, and the first 50 guests will receive free coffee from Wanderlust Coffee and swag bags from Revive Bath & Body, Beautiful Briny Sea, and Pork Clouds. Also visitors can enter to win $500 worth of handmade products from local merchants Oakleaf & Acorn, Flower Crown Society, Simply Seoul and more.

In preparation of this celebration, Root City Market employed the service of local artist, Yoyo Ferro, to create a custom artwork representative of the South, and Atlanta printer, Clash Graphics, to produce the promotional materials.

Founder, Jen Soong, ushers this Root City Market event to the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center. This historic 30,000 sq ft converted industrial warehouse houses 14 local artists and provides them with an environment that nurtures their creative processes. On Saturday this facility, which has been a presence in Georgia’s capitol city for nearly a century, will be transformed into a sprawling oasis of arts, crafts, and entertainment.

It’s always free to visit Root City Market, and on June 13th admission to the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center will be free as well. There will be free visitor parking available nearby. RCM hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on location at 535 Means St NW Atlanta, GA 30318, just outside of Georgia Tech’s campus.

Come celebrate Atlanta’s growing community of creative vendors and artisans!
