The Alliance of Mergers & Acquisitions will be holding its 2018 Winter Conference at the InterContinental Miami in Florida. This highly anticipated annual event delivers exceptional educational content and M&A networking opportunities, providing sponsors, attendees and speakers the valuable face-to-face time they’ve come to expect from The Alliance.


This year’s line-up of professionals attending includes executives from preeminent investment banks and intermediaries, leading private equity investors, senior and mezzanine lenders, CPA’s, attorneys, business valuators, consultants, and other M&A advisors. AMAA expects over 400 attendees, representing countries from all over the world, will experience the Winter Conference in Miami.


Seeing a lack of recognition for leaders in this sector, in 2009, the Alliance of M&A Advisors (The Alliance) instituted the Middle Market Thought Leader of the Year award to honor individuals in the Private Middle Market Financial Community who create and advocate new ideas that add value to the marketplace, through the publication of works that promote research and higher standards of excellence. Furthermore, these contributions add to the body of knowledge serving as a solid foundation for The Alliance’s M&A education programs and credentialing.


This year’s Winter Conference will be organized into the following segments:


Deal Bash: This will take place on Tuesday from 2:30 – 5:30 pm afternoon. The Deal Bash offers the one-stop and distinctive deal sourcing activity many have come to expect from The Alliance. Look no further to find or promote an upcoming unique investment opportunity.


Networking Headquarters: The Alliance is making connecting with M&A experts easier than ever. The Networking HQ tables serve as a temporary office for the 20 pre-assigned participants. Those who reserve tables may do so during the registration process. Schedule appointments and assign meeting times to encourage other attendees to connect. Don’t miss the chance to meet with these participants for deals, deals and more deals. Visit the Networking HQ from 12:00pm on Tuesday through 12:00pm on Thursday.


Thought Leader of the Year: The 2017 Thought Leader of the Year Award will be presented at the 2018 Winter Conference during the awards luncheon on Wednesday at 12:00pm. Join fellow M&A professionals in congratulating the finalists hard work, which has been recognized as providing significant contribution by promoting research and higher standards of excellence in the M&A industry.


Havana Night: For added networking opportunities, join AMAA for this special social event, Havana Night! This uniquely Miami event, will take place on Wednesday evening. The experience is complete with an open bar, buffet food stations, butler passed hors d’oeuvres, cigar rolling, live Cuban music, conversation, relationship building AND more – all taking place on the luscious lawns of the InterContinental Miami.
