-- Triton Thermal has launched AI infrastructure with built-in fluid-based immersion cooling technology. The company’s new Atlas One ecosystem enables data centers to keep pace with growing CPU workloads and increasingly powerful next-generation AI accelerators, including NVIDIA’s Blackwell, Rubin, Hopper, and RTX series and AMD’s MI350X and MI300X processors.

With major GPU upgrades now arriving every 24 months on average, Triton Thermal designed Atlas One to accommodate new hardware models as they are released, allowing data centers to run legacy hardware in tandem with current and next-generation accelerators without forcing a time-consuming and expensive infrastructure refresh cycle. In addition to spec-sheet compatibility, the system has a heightened cooling capacity due to built-in single-phase immersion architecture, which is more efficient than traditional airflow cooling systems. Triton Thermal said that this technology is the crux of Atlas One’s ability to absorb successive hardware generations without the need for retrofitting.
“A data center’s physical infrastructure, including cooling systems, power distribution, and the building itself, is typically planned around a much longer horizon than the hardware running inside it. That made sense when accelerator generations turned over every four to six years. It makes a lot less sense now,” said a spokesperson for the company.
The spokesperson added that while new architecture adds performance, it also raises power draw and heat output. Consequently, infrastructure developed around one generation’s energy profile may be undersized for the next generation within two years, long before other parts of the data center have reached the end of their life cycle. Atlas One addresses these issues by removing the thermal ceiling of traditional cooling systems, enabling data centers to continuously integrate modern GPUs into operations as they are developed.
Moreover, Atlas One technology is completely waterless, instead using a closed dielectric fluid loop at all compute densities. Triton Thermal said that this property eliminates water use, another factor that often constrains data centers.
