According to a 2025 report published by SingleCare®, as many as 70 million Americans suffer from sleep disorders, many of which are undiagnosed. Inadequate sleep can lead to serious issues like chronic fatigue, high blood pressure, weight gain, and memory loss; however, the difficulties involved in completing an in-person study lead many to miss out on care. By offering the telemedicine option, Southern California Pulmonary and Sleep Disorders Medical Center hopes to make sleep treatment more accessible.

Through AASM SleepTM, patients can receive face-to-face care with dedicated specialists from the comfort of their home. Once enrolled in the program, patients will provide accurate sleep information to their doctors by filling out integrated diaries or through wearable health trackers like FitBits. All data is encrypted and safely filed to protect patient privacy.

After an accurate diagnosis has been made, the center can offer a variety of treatment options, such as Inspire therapy for obstructive sleep apnea, eXcite OSA daytime therapy, oral appliances, and CPAP devices.

About Southern California Pulmonary and Sleep Disorders Medical Center

The center was founded in 1984 by Dr. Ronald Popper, a double-board-certified practitioner who earned the distinction from both the American Board of Sleep Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Popper is joined in the practice by Dr. Sidney Iriana, who formerly served as chief resident at Saint Agnes Medical Center.

A recent patient said, “They gave me so many tips on how to work on my sleep issues naturally. I have struggled with my sleep for so many years. I feel like today, I finally got some great direction. Dr. Popper was compassionate and receptive as he answered all of my questions. His office staff was great as well. I highly recommend Southern California Pulmonary and Sleep Disorders Medical Center.”
