A New Period of Partnership Devoted to Healthy Breasts
Mme L’Ovary, a Canadian menstrual underwear company, is joining forces with the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation
Every time Mme L’Ovary sells one of its menstrual kits between September 15 and October 31, 2021, the eco-friendly, Montreal-based menstrual underwear company will donate $1 to the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation (QBCF).
“Our partnership with the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation is an extension of what we’ve always been doing: sowing the seeds of a brighter future,” said Olivia Elting, one of Mme L’Ovary’s co-founders. “We believe that giving back to our community is one of many great ways we can achieve exactly that,” said Érica Lebrun, Mme L’Ovary’s other co-founder.
The money raised from the menstrual kits will be used to support breast cancer research and help caregivers offer adapted support services to those affected and their loved ones. During the campaign, every order placed through Mme L’Ovary’s site will include a pink ribbon and a copy of the Breast Observation Guide, a practical tool for learning how to detect symptoms of breast cancer. In line with the company’s educational mandate, Mme L’Ovary will also be sharing unknown facts about breast cancer on its social media.
Mme L’Ovary has always been about more than just environmentally sustainable period underwear – it’s also on a social mission to bring positive and long-lasting change to society. The people who work at Mme L’Ovary have become pillars in the health and well-being of all menstruating people, delivering free workshops on what it means to menstruate and how people can improve their experiences with their cycles. One of the company’s core beliefs is that positive information about menstruation should be freely available to anyone, no matter their age or gender.
“After all,” added Lebrun, “menstruation is a recurring part of almost half the global population’s life.”
Join the movement and help change the world, one pair of undies at a time.

About Mme L’Ovary
A dedicated Canadian company based in Montreal, Mme L’Ovary is proud to have developed the first menstrual undies to use removable pads. Ethically made and available through our online store, our daytime and nighttime period undies, kits, and zero wast accessories play an active role in reducing the 45 billion single-use pads and tampons thrown away every year.
Co-founders Érica and Olivia also led the #sangdechet movement in Montreal, which saw the city introduce a rebate program for residents who buy sustainable menstrual products. Today, 44 cities have followed suit, helping to create a new, greener, and more responsible future.
About the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation
The Breast Cancer Foundation is the only philanthropic organization to ensure that the benefits of its investments in breast cancer research stay here in Quebec. Since 1994, it has raised more than $56.7 million and invested it in cutting-edge research and in defending the interests of breast cancer patients and their loved ones. Through research and innovation, support and education, it ensures that people with the disease and their families remain the real focus of its mission. Families, researchers, volunteers and donors all share the same hope: to increase the survival rate of people affected by breast cancer to a true cure. Follow the QBCF on social media via Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.
