With Father’s Day just around the corner, yet another sentimental holiday has arrived appropriate for the double heart shaped Himalayan salt lamp now available from Useful Innovation LLC on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Himalayan-Romantic-Natural-Crystal-Friendly/dp/B017QPJQ4W
The lamp consists of a six to seven-pound block of genuine Pakistani Himalayan salt carved into the shape of two stylized hearts resting side by side. A round shaft is bored into the semi-transparent salt, making available a place to mount the lamp holder and ten-watt bulb necessary to generate the light passing through the salt, and into the room. The semitransparent salt has many trace minerals left over from when the salt was formed 65 million years ago. These mineral deposits give every piece of Himalayan salt a unique pattern and color. The overall color may range from off-white to light orange, to pink. All lamps are hand carved and each individual lamp represents a unique but similar work of art.
The lamp puts out a calming amber light which can be varied in intensity utilizing the rotary dimmer switch on the UL approved six-foot cord. Lamps come with a Neem wood base with an attractive grain and color. Useful Innovation explains that “we believe the lamps we offer go beyond merely being an interesting conversation piece, which puts negative ions into the air, improves air quality, produces a soothing amber light, and creates a feeling of wellbeing. Our lamps will look in place in any setting and each one is hand carved to ensure a slightly different work of art. They are an appropriate décor piece for a well-balanced and fine home with the smart lighting and good quality of air that are the very basics of good Feng Shui”. Himalayan salt lamps have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their properties relating to the output of negative ions into the air to help and reduce the indoor effects of electronic devises in the home increasing the proportion of positive ions in the air. They do this by drawing water molecules from the air , due to their hydroscopic nature, and then releasing them back into the air by evaporation from the light bulb heated salt. The water evaporating from the surface of the salt carries a negative charge. More information at http://www.usefulinnovation.com/
