The idea for creating Premium Custom Cabinets came about after a realization that the products and services offered by big box stores are not meeting the needs of people who are looking for cabinets that are built for LIFE. End Grain Cabinets has listened many times to stories of unavailable cabinet sizes and styles, cabinetry that falls apart after several years of use or products damaged in shipping. That is why they collaborate with the customer, their designer and/or their contractor to design, build and install custom cabinetry that fits their space and lifestyle. The handmade cabinets made at home in America almost didn’t see the light of day, when as a couple who grew up in an Amish/Mennonite Community, they were not allowed to have access to email and the internet. This made it difficult for them to connect with their clients; however, they chose to expand their community by adopting practices that helped them get better results. As they expanded, they were also able to provide 3D rendering to their customers and communicate more effectively with them. At one point, the demand for their custom cabinets outpaced them so they hired people in their community to help them serve more clients.
Premium Custom Cabinets was released as part of End Grain Cabinets’s greater plans to become the best local cabinet maker in Penn Yann NY and surrounding areas in the Finger Lakes such as Rochester, Syracuse, Waterloo, Canandiagua, Geneva, Ithaca, Corning, Painted Post, Interlaken, Campbell, Whatkins Glen, and other areas near by. End Grain Cabinets got it’s start when Founder Jonathan Martin noticed a growing need for a custom cabinet maker who collaborates to help homeowners, contractors and designers build their “Forever Home” with custom cabinets that can be made to fit in a space with out the need for fillers and maximize the functionality.. With 5 years prior experience in the premium custom kitchen cabinet making and design world, Jonathan Martin and his wife Esther decided to go ahead and start End Grain in 2017.
