A Cornwall-based cottage holiday company has recently introduced a series of 3D virtual tours to help customers get a better feel for its self-catering properties before they book.
Duchy Holidays now displays a number of virtual tours on its website, which showcase holiday homes in the Perranporth, St Agnes and Porthtowan areas of North Cornwall.
The 3D tours offer a fully immersive, interactive look around a property. These allow potential visitors to “walk-through” a property from room to room to explore the space, decor and views to get feel for the accommodation. These visual walk-throughs can be viewed on desktops, tablets, mobile phones and even virtual reality headsets.
The Cornish holiday company has introduced 3D tours on several of its property pages including its Atlantic Reach and Beach Walk accommodation in Perranporth.
Chelsea Johnson from Duchy Holidays explained: “We think these tours are a brilliant marketing tool as they give the customer the opportunity to really experience a property by exploring at their own pace before they decide whether to book.
“We have been very impressed with the quality of the finished tours, and the “doll house view” is another nice touch helping to give customers a better feel for a place.”
The company states that the launch of its first few 3D tours has been a success, leading to increased user engagement, more time on the website and additional bookings for those properties with 3D tours.
As a result, the company plans to add more 3D virtual tours to its website in the near future so its prospective customers can be better informed about their holiday accommodation choices.
